Hey. Every little detail helps. ;-)

Sure. In fact, you may have noticed a possible new variation.

In Dublin? Wild. So, this means you get to actually work in your
field while living in interesting new surroundings. (Meanwhile, I'll
skip the rant about the number of Canadians who have to look for work
outside the country, in order to work in their original field of
study.)

On top of the scenic locale, I hope that you got some nice juicy

I only used that format because it was easiest to "cut and paste" from
your sig. Regarding thwarting spammers; Your web page URL is in a
commonly used form. If I was a spammer harvesting e-mail addresses
from newsgroups, I would look for "www.your.domain/~username" and
write a utility to convert such strings to "***@your.domain".

Well, everyone to their own. I watched _The Sweetest Thing_ again,
after recommending it. While I do think it qualifies as a "chick
flick", I started worrying about the sexually explicit humour. It was
certainly no worse than _American Pie_, but maybe that type of humour
disqualifies it from being part of the "chick flick" genre?

...This is one of those moments when I hope that one of the
women who occasionally read Users249 will speak up. :-)

I know what you mean. Despite my brave words about how it might be
appropriate to "look, appreciate, but not lust", I'm now old enough
that I usually just try not to notice any nubile young ladies around
town or campus. Whether I am or not, the "just don't look" policy may
help avoiding a "dirty old man" label. (Of course, "old" is one of
those "relative terms".)

Looking back at what I wrote, way back when, I notice I was remarking
on your thoughts about how a man talking about what actresses he likes
might get himself "in trouble" with his significant other.

...Once again, I'll wait with 'bated breath
for a female of the species to offer us a clue on this issue.
Anyway, I'm not sure whether this is good news or bad news for you,
but Kingston seems pretty much the same as usual.
c> I guess that's good. :) At least there haven't been any natural disasters
c> and such.. Ciao.

Oh yes, it's good for us. ...I just wasn't sure about your personal
views on Kingston. :-)

I didn't actually realize that, even having seen her posts several times
in rasfwr-j, until I went searching for their webpages, so I figured I'd
mention it. :)

In defence of the govt, I came here because they funded me nicely and I
figured I might as well go to interesting new surroundings while I'm
working. I fully intend to be back home in a year or so with a Real
Job (TM).

My boss and I are fervently hoping for such also. :)

Yeah, good point. I have heard in the past that spammers tend to only
harvest from the headers, I think mainly because they're lazy and the
'From:' header provides an easily searchable tag for an address. If they
weren't lazy, they probably wouldn't be spammers.. Alas, had I more time,
and had SpamCop not gone to such a ridiculously unusable format sometime
last year, I'd be reporting a good deal more than I am. Unfortunately,
they no longer accept reports from my mail agent (pine), because it seems
to add its own little formatting irregularities that screw up the SpamCop
input reader now. Worked fine before, but oh well.

I guess it would have to depend on the chick..

During the last federal election, some friends of mine were considering
creating a 'Dirty Old Man' party. :) Sometimes, you just have to accept
who you are and move on, right? :) (Not meaning you, here, before you get
offended. :) )

As long as your breath isn't 'baited', like so many people I see posting
this, then at least there won't be a wormy smell keeping them away. :)

I'll leave my personal views of the city itself alone, but there are
definitely a great number of friends still there. :)
